Alfresco at Blue Baker
Mom came to visit this weekend and our days were spent mostly outside in the glorious weather we are having. The weather is unusual for May in Texas and we are taking advantage of it as much as we can. Saturday morning I got up and made a hearty breakfast of scrambled eggs with cheese and sage sausage patties. Collin and I call it 'special breakfast' on the weekends when I have time to whip up something extra yummy. Mom thoroughly enjoyed my cooking and is always quick to say so, as is Collin. After a slow and relaxing morning catching up with mom we decided to head out for lunch at one of our favorite spots - Blue Baker. There are two locations in town but the one on Dominik is simply the best with the glorious outdoor seating under the vine covered pergola.
Collin quickly found us a table outside while mom and I ordered our lunches. Mom ordered the Tuna and Chicken Salad Sampler while Collin and I both ordered the delicious Club Bleu sandwich. The croissant sandwich is hard to pass up - which is why I order it almost every time we visit. As you walk down the line to order you are greeted with many samples which usually include their homemade breads. The Kalamata Olive and Rosemary bread was delightful with its savory flavors and hints of bitter olive. The food was made even better with the alfresco seating.
Collin decided to be his adorable self while mom tried to snap a few pictures.
I joined in a little too.
After lunch we started our house hunting adventure. More on that to come. Hope y'all all enjoyed your weekend. What fun things did you get up to this weekend?
