Memorial Day Weekend
Celebration time! Collin and my parents decided to throw me a party to celebrate my graduation from graduate school. The only requests I had were that it be held at the lake house and it be a laid back, fun affair. They didn't disappoint!
Saturday we headed to the lake house before the guests started arriving to help set up. My parents arrived shortly after and started unloading the cars which were full of gorgeous orange floral arrangements, pictures to decorate the tables, candles, cupcakes, and more! Mom wanted this party to show off the school colors and it did, for sure. Collin and his brother proceeded to be in charge of blowing up balloons and tying them around the house for festive flair. My dad headed out to put up signs to make sure our guests arrived at the right house - which was a good thing since of few of them almost started partying with the neighbors next door.

Drinks, friends, and a great view
The food was catered by McKenzie's BBQ in Montgomery, TX and it was finger licking good. All the guests helped themselves to seconds and a cold beer while enjoying the lake view and fabulous weather. Friends and family mingled until early evening when we decided to drop the boat in for a few turns around the lake. The boys (and some girls) went tubing and wake boarding while I relaxed in the comfort of the boat with my Angry Orchard Cider (the absolute best fizzy, refreshing, summer drink).

We stayed out on the boat until almost dark and headed back in to relax with a few drinks. The night ended with wine, laughter, and, of course, more BBQ!
